Each gîte has a fully equipped kitchen and well furnished rooms, these are described in more detail on the specific page for each gîte. Also included in the standard price for each gîte are the:

• starter supplies - salt, pepper, soap, loo roll, kitchen roll, tea, coffee, sugar
• private stone built barbecue
• gas for the hob, hot water, and electricity (excluding heating)

In summer, the only additional compulsory cost is for our linen packs, these are to be added to the gite rental price at a cost of £12 per person. This charge simply covers the cost of having the linen professionally laundered and our linen packs include sheets, duvets, duvet covers, pillows, pillowcases, hand and bath towels, drying up towels, bath mats, oven gloves but exclude beach towels.

The linen packs are not included in the price of the gite simply because the cost of the laundry is directly related to the number of people staying in the gite.

Other facilities onsite which are included in the gite rental price are the:

• 10m by 5m pool (in season)
• badminton / volleyball court on the top lawn
• table tennis and darts in the covered games barn
• boule / pétanque
• childrens games
• pool games
• five acres of garden and woodland for family games, or just to relax in
• small stream for lazy walks, or to sit and watch the wildlife (including red squirrels and many birds of prey)
• laundry facilities with washing machine and drying area

Gite heating

During the Winter season the price for Bordeaux includes the cost of central heating. This heating is sometimes needed during mornings and evenings in the low season and is optionally available at an additional charge of 10 Euros per day. All the other gites are heated using electric heaters, and the additional charge is calculated simply from the number of units of electricity used, multiplied the cost charged by the French electricity board (EDF). In addition (or as an alternative) Bordeaux and Burgundy both have large fireplaces, and we can provide a stack of oak firewood at a cost of 25 Euros per 'stack'.
