Court Farm holiday cottages are owned and run by Kath's cousin David and his wife Michele with the help of Michele's mum Pat and her partner Edwin. Located in Exford in the heart of Exmoor, Court Farm has two 2 bedroom cottages and one single bed cottage. David and Michele specialise in dog-friendly and equestrian holidays and the cottages are 3 star rated by EnjoyEngland.

Having stayed with them, we can confirm that Exford is a lovely village within walking distance of the cottages, and they are a few minutes drive from Withypool, Tarr Steps, Dunkery beacon and other well-known sites of Exmoor.

Titus Alpacas - Alpaca fibre products

Titus alpacas is owned and run in Shropshire UK by Paul and Janet Ireland, friends of ours since 1998. Titus Alpacas have a herd of around 20 alpacas and as well as breeding and exhibiting them at various shows around the Shropshire area they sell products made from Alpaca wool sourced in the UK and also imported from Peru (the native country of the Alpaca).

Anyone who is a regular hill-walker or spends time outside in the colder weather (like us) will appreciate their alpaca-wool socks - Warmer (due to the fact that Alpaca wool is hollow), harder wearing (as alpaca wool is the second strongest natural fibre after silk), and both hypo-allergenic (no lanolin) and anti-bacterial so you really can wear the same socks day after day if you need to and they just don't smell!
